For those seeking their best existence

Why do things always seem to go wrong for me?

It can feel like nothing is going right. One thing leads to another, and before long it starts to seem like everything is working against you. Even small problems can begin to feel connected, building into something much bigger than they are on their own.

But it’s rarely everything. When things feel like they’re always going wrong, it’s often a sign that your system is under strain. When you’re tired, under-fuelled, or low on hydration, your capacity to handle things changes. What you might normally manage easily can start to feel heavier, more frustrating, and harder to resolve.

In that state, your perspective can narrow. It becomes easier to notice what’s going wrong, and harder to see what isn’t. Problems can feel closer together, more frequent, and more personal. Not because everything has changed—but because your ability to process and respond has shifted.

Sometimes the most helpful step isn’t to try and fix everything at once, but to step back and support yourself first. If you’re trying to work out how to solve a problem, it can help to start from a steadier place. Have you eaten recently? Have you had enough water? Have you slept properly? These are simple things to check, they shape how steady you feel, how clearly you think, and how well you can plan.

After moving to rebalance yourself, things often begin to separate again. Problems feel more manageable, less connected, and easier to approach one at a time.

It may not be that everything is going wrong. It may just be that, for a while, everything has felt harder to carry.

If things are feeling off, it can help to gently build better daily habits.
